Where the two roads cross.
When I was 16, I knew I wanted to be an artist, but I also knew I wanted to make money. I figured out the two roads crossed in advertising. I mailed this out to all the advertising agencies in the Yellow Pages, A through M (that was all I could afford in stamps). I was stupid enough to think it might work. And it did. I got a job at BBDO Minneapolis and worked there through high school and college.
Surrounded by the secretarial pool at my first office Christmas Party.
